God Is Waiting for You

“Come near to God, and he will come near to you

James 4:8

Middle C is the foundational reference point throughout your musical journey. It is always there to start from and it is always there to return to when you get lost or confused and your song isn’t sounding so pretty anymore.

But where is your middle C when your song of life gets lost, confusing, disoriented, and ugly?

‘ “Seek me and you will find me when you seek me with you whole heart” declares the Lord’ (Jeremiah 29:13).

Just as you would find middle C when your music gets a little wonky, you can find God when your life gets a little wonky. Both of them are solidly placed and never move around. Even when we are moving fast and furious and scooting all over the place, they both sit patiently waiting for us to head home.

And just like middle C is the starting point for music, God is your starting point in your journey of faith. He’s also your rock solid foundation that you can (and will frequently have to) return to.

God promises rest, strength, joy, deliverance, wisdom, hope and contentment. But He also promises that when you lose sight of Him, He is always waiting for your return.

His blessings never cease! We just need to quit moving around and scoot a little closer to Him.

Do you know Him? Are you seeking Him? How do you keep Him in your sight?
